Empowering. Engaging. Experienced.
▪️ Are you a recent grad or entry-level professional feeling... "stuck?"
▪️ Totally unsure how your college major or experience relate to what you want to do?
▪️ Been meaning to update your resume or LinkedIn, but have no idea where to begin?
▪️ Having a total "oh #*%&!" breakdown because you have no clue what to do anymore?
As someone who's "been there, done that," I'm able to provide real-talk, judgment-free coaching, resume, and LinkedIn writing services.
I'm passionate about helping recent grads and entry-level professionals navigate the world of work.
I believe that career planning is holistic and your journey is as unique as you are. Intentional self-reflection is the foundation of successful career development. When we understand who we are beyond just our job title, we are better equipped to pursue purpose-driven work that aligns with our values and goals.
Two of my top Clifton Strengths are "intellection" and "input," which couldn't be more accurate - I absolutely love to learn. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Northeastern University in 2011, completing a five-year program in 3.5 years with high honors. In addition, I have a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Southern New Hampshire University, and graduated in 2018 with a 4.0 GPA.
I'm also slightly obsessed with professional development! ✨
Here's a look at the professional associations I'm a current member of:
Some of my recent professional development activities include:
Outside of work, I love snowboarding with my family, hiking my way through the NH 48 4,000 footers, backpacking, going to concerts, volunteering, and reading (even though it's usually about career stuff because I'm fun like that) 🙇♀️
Story time! For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an attorney. In high school, I was obsessively involved in Mock Trial, Speech and Debate, Model UN, and We the People, winning several state titles and even competing in the national championships in Washington, D.C. I was dead-set on going to law school and was your typical "type A" undergrad who thought they had it ALL figured out... until I discovered that those 80-hour weeks weren't as glamorous as I had envisioned. Cue a major freakout!
After much panicking and taking just about every career assessment on the planet, I decided to explore HR and scored a nine-month internship that completely changed my life and career direction. As an HR Intern, I was treated like a real member of the team and gained exposure to all different functional areas of human resources. I quickly fell in love with talent acquisition and gladly took as many reqs as I could, writing job descriptions, screening candidates, and checking references.
After graduating from college, I decided to transition into the busy agency recruiting space. I spent a few years working both full and split desks, and found that I especially enjoyed advocating for the candidates I represented as a recruiter. It gave me a chance to put on my marketing hat and get creative. How can we best position you for success? How can we revise your resume to highlight the skills you have? How can we show what you know?
In 2016, I serendipitously found what sounded like the "perfect" job: a small college in my town was looking for an internship coordinator. Despite never having worked in higher education, I figured I'd give my own advice a try and let my transferable experience set me apart... why not? 🤷♀️
Thankfully, that strategy worked, and I've been fortunate to spend the last decade as a career coach for undergraduate and graduate students at small liberal arts colleges, large R1 institutions, and in the Ivy League. Over the course of my time in higher education, I've also designed and taught four classes on career planning and professional development. I love what I do, and believe wholeheartedly in helping others find that same joy in their jobs.
As a private coach, I specialize in working with recent grads and entry-level professionals. I provide individual coaching sessions, resume reviewing and writing services, and LinkedIn profile reviewing and writing services.
I'm also available for presentations or group coaching sessions - shoot me an email to learn more!
