Empowering. Engaging. Experienced.
▪️ Are you a recent grad or entry-level professional feeling... "stuck?"
▪️ Totally unsure how your college major or experience relate to what you want to do?
▪️ Having a total "oh #*%&!" breakdown because you have no idea what you do anymore?
As someone who's "been there, done that," I'm able to provide real-talk, judgment-free coaching, resume, and LinkedIn writing services.
I'm passionate about working with recent grads and entry-level professionals to help them map out their next steps.
I believe that career planning is holistic and your journey is as unique as you are. I'm dedicated to helping you navigate your path.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Northeastern University in 2011, and completed a five-year program in 3.5 years with high honors (#nerd). I also have a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Southern New Hampshire University, and graduated in 2018 with a 4.0 GPA.
I'm also a total geek about professional development! ✨
Here's a look at the professional associations I'm a current member of:
My most recent professional development activities include:
When I'm not helping others achieve their career goals - let's be real, it's my dream job! - I love snowboarding, hiking my way through the NH 48 4000 footers, backpacking, going to concerts, and - admittedly - reading too many books on career stuff... for fun 🤫
In 2011, I participated in a six-month co-op position that completely changed my life and career direction. As an HR Intern, I was truly folded in as a member of the team and gained exposure to all different functional areas in HR. I quickly fell in love with recruiting and successfully advocated for that to be my primary focus area. Developing an understanding of the full recruiting lifecycle is a core competency that helped me make the next moves in my career.
After spending time in the corporate recruiting world, I later transitioned into the busy agency recruiting space. Working entirely with candidates, I especially enjoyed being an advocate for the folks I represented - how can we best position you for success? How can we revise your resume to highlight the skills you have? How can we show what you know?
In 2016, I serendipitously found the "perfect" job description as an internship coordinator at a small college in my town, and despite never having worked in higher education, I figured I'd give it a try... why not? 🤷♀️
Well, it worked - and now, I've spent the last eight years focused on coaching undergraduate and graduate students across all majors, disciplines, and levels of experience. I've worked with students at small liberal arts schools, R1 institutions, and in the Ivy League.
Over the course of my time in higher education, I've also taught three classes on career planning and professional development. Career education is a core strength and interest of mine, and I pride myself on delivering informative, relevant, and relatable lessons.
As a coach, I provide advising services in the areas of career and major exploration, resume and LinkedIn reviews, creating job search strategies, interview preparation, and networking.
